I love my camera

Books I recommend

All of these were okay for me, not too bloody or anything. I'm just guessing what they would be rated.

In order of when I thought of them. :)

1. Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
I really liked this. It's about werewolfs. I'd say 13+, though.

2.A Girl Named Sooner by Suzanne Clauser (can't find a good link)

Again, I really liked it, but maybe for teenagers.

Or mature people. About an abused girl.

3.The Higher Power of Lucky by Susan Patron
I loved this when I read it a few years ago.

It's also about a girl. Okay for all ages, but younger kids

(7-9)would like it more.

4.The Pinhoe Egg by Diana Wynne Jones
Really good. All ages. Magic! Long, though.

5.The Kingdom of Carbonel by Barbara Sleigh
It's about talking cats. I liked it a lot. Everyone.

6.The Castle Corona by Sharon Creech (and anything else by her)
Awesome. Sharon Creech is my favorite writer ever.

Everything by her is great for anyone to read.

7.The Mysterious Benedict Society 1 and 2 by Trenton Lee Stewart
Very good. Maybe for younger kids, though

8.The Spiderwick Chronicles by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black
I liked it, but more for younger kids. Magical creatures.

9.Caddie Woodlawn by Carol Brink
I really liked this. About a tomboy-pioneer.

10.Our Only May Amelia by Jennifer Holm
Again, Tomboy-pioneer. Really funny.

11.Sabriel by Garth Nix
Amazing. I LOVE IT. 13+, maybe. I don't remember.

I do remember how much I loved it and couldn't stop thinking

about it, though. It's about a girl. I really don't remember much. :P

12.Side Effects by Amy Koss
This is really good. It's about a 15 year old girl who gets

cancer. It's SO funny. A lot of swearing, if anyone cares (I didn't).

13.My Side of the Mountain by Jean George
I really like this. It's about a teenage boy who goes to

live in the woods. It's just as good a book for girls, though.

14.Black Beauty by Anna Sewell.
Well, it's about horses, as you probably know.

I's actually sort of gross death-ish That makes no sense.

Um, Someone dies, and it really grossed/creeped me out

when I read it. So, for people who like gross death-ish books, I guess.

15.Coraline by Neil Gaiman
CREEPY. I was totally paranoid that a bodiless

hand would get me in my sleep. Um, 13+, maybe.

16. Behind the Attic Wall by Sylvia Cassedy
Really good. It's about a girl who lives in the walls

of her house for like, 8 years. Everyone.

17.No Flying in the House by Betty Brock
I read this when I was little, and it made me cry.

I liked it though. And I cried a lot back then.

18.The Trumpet of the Swan and Charlotte's Web by E. B. White.
TTOTS was good, but more for little kids.

CW was kinda depressing. But anyone could read it.

19.His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman
Sad, but you can't put it down. 13+, maybe.

20.The Doll People by Ann Martin
For younger kids. Like up to 9. A family of dolls.

21.A Wrinkle in Time (series)by Madeleine L'Engle
I really liked this. A swiftly tilting planet was confusing, though.

22.Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling
I think most people know HP is about wizards. It's pretty good, I guess.

23.Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell

I read this a looong time ago, and all I remember is that I cried a lot....

24.From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs Basil E. Frankweilerby E.L. Konigsburg
I liked this a lot. It's about a girl and a boy who run away from home to live in a museum.

25.Stargirl and Love, Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli
A homeschooled girl goes to school and meets Leo. In book 2, the whole thing's a letter to him. I liked them a lot. :D

26.The Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett

It's so funny! There's 3 so far, I think.

27. I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You
by Ally Carter (Gallagher Girls)

This is about a girl spy. I really like it. On the book, I think it says 12+

28.The Chronicles of Narnia (1-7)by C.S. Lewis

I've only read the first few, but I like them. :)

29. Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret by Judy Blume

I don't really remember much, but It's about a girl growing up.

30.How to Eat Fried Worms by Thomas Rockwell

It's about a boy who eats worms every day. That's all I remember...

31.The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine

I LOVE IT!!! It's so good. I cried at the end, even though it's not sad....I just love it. I think everyone should read it

32.Hoot, Scat, and Flush by Carl Hiaasen

Really good! Some swearing, but great!

33.Esperanza Rising by Pam Muñoz Ryan

Super good. About a Mexican girl who goes from riches to rags.

34.Catherine, Called Birdy by Karen Cushman

Great! It's about a 14 year old English girl trying to avoid getting married in 1290.

35.The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare

I like this a lot. It's about a girl accused of witchcraft.

36. Warriors (Thanks Mikabird!) By Erin Hunter

I really like the Warriors books! It's about warrior cats. I don't think there's a real age limit, but there's some death

Here are some pictures!

January 6, 2011

Hello. I'm hyper. :3

  • I'M GETTING A DSLR CAMERA!
  • Today's my mom's birthday!!(happy birthday mom!)
  • I'm not at all sorry for the girlyness of the new layout. I feel girly(oh no!)
  • I bought a pink prom dress and a kimono with my Christmas money

Manitees are cheap at my movie theater.
CHINCHILLA!!!

I had a migraine yesterday. It's weird....everything looks like it's moving and changing colors and it's like having a blind spot all around you(you know how it sort of fills in? like that) and then a pounding headache that gets way worse if someone talks/breaths too loudly or if there's a light on. It sucks! Mom's had them since I was born though.

I'm going to bed now

(:

I love being Homeschooled

QUESTION:
What do you get when you mix:

New Microscope slides and lenses
and

A crazy homeschooled girl who bleeds a lot and has a camera?

ANSWER:
~THIS~

(Bonus: Mom reading LIW)
and a CONTEST!
 (Winner gets lifelong fame)
Guess what this is
It's magnified 400x and you've (most likely) had it in your life.

Just something I noticed: fresh blood cells move really quick in rivers but after about 2 minutes they stop.
